Shortly thereafter a re-telling movie for the series was announced and Nishii set her sights on being part of the production. After graduating she joined Studio Cockpit and managed to make her debut on the film as an in-betweener. In 2011, she made her debut as a character designer on [Penguindrum](https://anilist.co/anime/10721/), another show of Ikuhara's.
